Ask Me Booth Volunteers

Ask Me Booths are small tents spread across campus with helpful information and our volunteers help direct people across campus and answer any questions they may have.

In striving to support the health, safety, and well-being of the Mason community while fulfilling the university’s mission, this year’s Ask Me Booths will look different this year than in years past.

There will be Three (3) simplified Ask Me Booth locations this year located in Wilkins Plaza (1 tent), the SUB 1 Quad (3 tents) and in front of Exploratory Hall (1 tent) beginning on Monday, August 24 and running through Thursday, August 27.

In adherence to the health safety protocols set forth by George Mason University, the following will apply to volunteers working an Ask Me Booth.

  • Face Coverings to be worn at all times
  • One (1) Volunteer per tent per shift
  • Maintain Six (6) feet separation when possible
  • Cleaning supplies will be at every tent to clean as necessary

Please note that contactless distribution of face coverings to Mason students will be taking place at the SUB 1 Ask Me Tents (Monday – Thursday, 10 AM – 4:30 PM) and at a pop-up tent located outside Lot A (Monday and Tuesday 4 – 7:30 PM). Students will receive two (2) complimentary masks by tapping their Mason ID. On-campus students will receive their masks at Move-In.

Faculty, staff or students can volunteer to staff Ask Me Booths and we hope that you will be able to support us by volunteering to work a shift. A virtual training will be provided to all volunteers before Welcome2Mason begins.

All volunteers who come to campus must have a GREEN result via the Mason COVID Health✓™ and be prepared to show their green status email to verify that you are cleared to be on campus. The Mason community can also access the website directly at healthcheck.gmu.edu.

An advanced thank you for helping us kickoff, potentially, the most unique year in Mason history!
